OLAF A. SODERBERG died early in 1931 in his fifty-ninth year.

Born at Stockholm on April 11, 1872, he graduated at the Royal High School of Mines in that town.

For twenty-two years he was manager and president of the firm of Soderberg and Haak.

From 1911 to 1916 he was Consul General to Sweden, after which he became general manager of Stora Kopparbergs Bergslags A.B.

In 1923 he went to Bergsloget Bibliotek at Falun, Sweden, and in 1926 he again became Consul General.

He joined the Iron and Steel Institute in 1920.
