1836 Established in Northampton as Northamptonshire Union Bank, a reconstruction of the private banking business of John & Samuel Percival. Initially managed by the Percivals.

1839 the bank acquired Hall and Co of Daventry.

1880 The bank assumed limited liability as Northamptonshire Union Bank Ltd.

1881 Purchased the business and premises of Birmingham, Dudley & District Banking Co at Oundle and Thrapston.

1885 the bank relinquished its right to issue notes

1887 Acquired Moxon and Percival of Towcester and incorporated.

1920 Acquired by National Provincial and Union Bank of England
