1932 'The Norseland Fish Canning Company at Hunslet has an average output of brisling and sild sardines of between 60,000 and 70,000 tins a day. The control of the company has been acquired by the National Canning Company, which already has in a operation number of fruit and vegetable canning factories.'[1]
