1896 'A NEW DUDLEY HILL FIRM. Messrs Newton and Bean have commenced business at Vulcan Iron Works, Dudley Hill, as engineers, millwrights, and ironfounders, &c. William Newton has been connected during the last 30 years with the Bowling Iron Co., Limited, and Messrs Perkins, Son and Barrett. Mr. Henry Bean has had 25 years’ experience in engine building at the Bowling Iron Co., Limited, and Messrs Cole, Marchent and Morley. They have put down a very modern plant for the production of the above work.' [1]
