Nevill Hilder Strange (1909-1940)

Nevill Strange was born in 1909 and was educated at Oundle School and Manchester University, where he obtained the Degree of M.Sc. After a period in the Service Dept. of Bentley, he joined his father as a Consulting Engineer in the firm of Strange and Strange, of Manchester.

In addition to his professional attainments, he was well known in his district for his athletic prowess.

After the outbreak of war he joined the R.A.F.V.R. as a Pilot-Officer, and was killed in a flying accident in September, 1940.

He was elected a Graduate of the Institution of Automobile Engineers in 1929 and was transferred to Associate member in 1937.
