1678 Born.

1702 Founder of the Bristol Brass and Wire Co.

1703 Married Susanna Truman (b.1675). They had five children, John, Ann, Nehemiah (born in 1709 and died in 1753 or 1782), William, and Rachel. John Champion became a brassfounder in Bristol.

1747 Died in Bristol.

He was a merchant, tobacconist, wine importer, ironfounder, and was best known for his important developments in the production of non-ferrous metals.
