1897 The company was registered on 12 November. [1]

1909 'We understand that Messrs. Robey and Co., Limited, Lincoln, have just received an order from the Naval Collieries, Limited, South Wales, for two new winding-engines of the twin-tandem type. Each engine will have two high-pressure cylinders 28 in. in diameter, and two low-pressure cylinders 48 in. in diameter, with a stroke of 66 in. The engines are designed for high pressure superheated steam, and are fitted with Messrs. Robey’s patent drop-valve reversing-gear.'[2]

1913 A proposal was made to amalgamate the collieries in the Cambrian Combine, namely the Cambrian, the Glamorgan, the Britannic, and the Naval, with D. A. Thomas in charge[3]

1929 July: Guest, Keen and Nettlefolds acquired the Cambrian, Glamorgan Colliery, Naval and Britannic Merthyr collieries from the liquidator[4]

1930 Became part of Welsh Associated Collieries
