1904 'MOTOR TRIALS IN INDIA'. The committee of the Motor Union of Western India are working hard to make their first important meetings a great success. The reliability trials will take place between Delhi and Bombay, a distance of over 800 miles, during Christmas week. The Bombay Motor Car Company have undertaken to supply petrol anywhere between Delhi and Bombay, and all authorities are willing to come forward and help the movement. Inducements will be offered in the way of reduction of freight and railway fares in India, so that the actual expense will be very small.[2]
