The early sales organisation for Arrol-Johnston

1895 George Johnston formed a joint venture with Sir William Arrol, the Mo-Car Syndicate, to build car he had designed.

1898 Company #4,106 was registered on 30th December 1898 with a capital of £50,000 to carry on the business of manufacturers and sellers of motor cars.


1901 Mention of an Arrol-Johnston 6hp light car entered in a race by the Motor Car Syndicate [1]

1902 John S. Napier appointed Managing Director

1905 September. With an increase in capital became New Arrol-Johnston Car Co
