Assistant Engineer, Indian Public Works Department, 1895-19co; Circle Engineer, Transvaal Irrigation Department, 1916; Chief Engineer, Cochabamba Valley Irrigation, Bolivia. Chief Works: Constructed Potchefstroom Reservoir (20,000) and many smaller works in India and South Africa. Awarded Telford Premium for paper "Irrigation in Transvaal." War Services.—Captain, Royal Fusiliers, 1916; Lieut.-Colonel, Labour Corps, 1919.
