1949 Metropolitan Relays Ltd formed Birmet Television Manufacturing Co for the purposes of making televisions for rental at its Battersea factory.
Subsequently formed Metropolitan Radio and Television Ltd

1953 Offered Relay Wireless service[2]
1958 Sir Robert Renwick's British Relay Wireless and Television group buys up Metropolitan Relays, which runs a “piped” radio service in South-West London and Cumberland. [3]
1976 Removed from the register of companies[4]
