1926 Private company.

1926 December: Acquired, as a going concern, the wire and cable section of Fuller's United Electric Works.[1]

1936 Acquired by several members of the Cable Makers' Association, who were not agreed amongst themselves as to whether it should be closed down or should continue to operate. After discussion, those who felt it should be closed down sold their interests to the others. The Company continued in production as a separate manufacturing unit.[2]

1938 Became a member of the C.M.A.

1947 Was a member of the C.M.A. [3]

1960 As part of the rationalisation of production amongst its subsidiaries BICC decided that Metropolitan Electric Cable and Construction Co would cease production[4]

1961 Wire, cable and general electrical manufacturers. [5]
