Merrythought

of Merrythought Works, Dale End, Ironbridge, Shropshire, Manufacturers of Teddy Bears and Cuddly Animals.

1930 Clifton James Rendle left Chad Valley Co, swiftly followed by the Chief Designer Florence May Attwood, to form a new soft toy company "Merrythought".

The company's first 32 products were heavily influenced by design patterns developed by Attwood and, with the assistance and expertise of other 'poached' Chad Valley staff, were bought to market in 1931.

By 1950 also making Nightdress Cases, Wheel Toys.

2004 ...part of the long established Merrythought Company.[1]
