Matthew Chambers of Newton, Chambers and Co
Matthew Chambers (1776-1828), son of Thomas Chambers (1745-1817), worked for the Low Moor Co before becoming a partner in Newton, Scott, Chambers, and Company in 1817.
Another Matthew Chambers (1798-1862), son of Matthew above, established a later version of Newton, Chambers and Co in 1831
