Maryport Docks

1838 Maryport was recognized as a port having a Customs House and Harbour Office in Strand Street.

1884 May. The Senhouse dock opened.

1893 'Wm. James Dockerty, the popular contractor, who was entrusted with the building of the Maryport dock, and who also carried out the work of the extension of the pier at Workington, has been appointed High Sheriff of Dublin.'[1]
