Marsden and Naylor
of Skipton
1928 'SKIPTON FOUNDRY. Messrs. David King and Sons, Limited, ironfounders, Glasgow, who have acquired the business of Messrs. Marsden and Naylor, Foundry Field, Skipton, yesterday commenced the production of castings in Skipton, and the ceremony of tapping the first iron from the cupola was performed by Mrs. John King, the wife of the chairman of the directors. The foundry will provide employment for 30 to 40 men, and the firms contemplate extensions that will provide work for a much larger number.' [1]
