1920 November. Exhibited at the Motor Car Show at Olympia and the White City with steering gear that uses cams and rockers

1921 Adamant Engineering Co began production of Marles steering gear for the company, which never engaged in manufacturing[1]

1924 Announced that it had concluded arrangements with the Adamant Engineering Co of Luton, for the firm to have exclusive rights as manufacturer and sales agent for the Marles steering gear for UK under licence. [2]

1946 Adamant Engineering Co acquired the Marles Steering Co Ltd

1951 The gear was used by the majority of vehicle manufacturers in the UK (around 60), especially medium and heavy vehicle manufacturers.
