in central Manchester

Opened in 1873. Architects: Speakman, Son & Hickson. Friezes feature sculptures of fishing, by Henry Bonehill. The wrought iron gates are by Hodkinson Poynton & Lester.[1]

The business has moved out of the city, and the 1873 market premises have been hollowed out. Fortunately the facade and gates and cast iron columns have been saved.
