Magnesium Metal and Alloys

From Graces Guide

1935 Murex in conjunction with Johnson, Matthey and Co, which controlled some fabrication patents, formed 2 new companies for production and fabrication of magnesium alloys - Magnesium Metal and Alloys Ltd and Magnesium Castings and Products Ltd[1]

Imperial Magnesium Corporation acquired the plant for production of magnesium operated by Magnesium Metal and Alloys at Rainham

1936 The companies concerned in forming Imperial Magnesium decided to separate their interests again, as this would be more convenient and allow faster development. The Rainham plant reverted to Magnesium Metal and Alloys. Murex purchased the interests of Johnson Matthey in the company[2]

1943 Production of magnesium metal ceased at the end of the year[3]
