1960 T. and H. Smith merged with J. F. Macfarlan and Co to become Macfarlan Smith.

1962 With another Scottish company, Duncan, Flockhart and Co, formed a new organization, Edinburgh Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (EPI)[1] which was largely concerned with distribution and sales.
