1947 Crittall-Luxfer Aluminium Windows Ltd was formed as a private company to acquire the aluminium window interest of Crittall Manufacturing Co and Luxfer Ltd based on the foundry at Colwick and using part of Crittall's Braintree factory[5] [6]
1962 Crittall Manufacturing Co disposed of its interest in Crittall-Luxfer as Luxfer's product range was increasingly different from the rest of the group[7]
By 1973 Luxfer Holdings was an associated company of Alcan Aluminium (UK) Ltd
