1898 Inventor of a machine to dispense cigarettes on omnibuses and tramcars.[3] Formed the Omnibus and Tramcar Automatic Supply Co. but it shortly failed

1911 '...the opening of the new factory of Mr. Louis Coen at 316, Vauxhall Bridge-road, yesterday, when a demonstration was given of the manufacture of the “Health Cigarette,” in which there is mesh to prevent nicotine from entering the mouth'.[4]
