The company served an important aspect of the textile trade - making-up and packing textiles for export, and manufacturing waterproof wrapping and linings, packing cases and lapping boards, and provding facilities for storing and handling the goods.

1953 Acquired export packers John Stevenson and Sons.[2]
1957 Sold J. Smith Hargreaves and Co.[3]
1959 Acquired Alfred Eva and Son and T. A. Lever and Sons, both cardboard carton manufacturers based in Manchester.[5]
1960 Packaging Products (Holdings) was formed as a joint venture with Packing Materials Association to combine the waterproof and waxed paper manufacturing interests of both groups.[6]
1960 Acquired electrical switchgear manufacturer Long and Crawford.[7]
1960 Acquired lard refiners N. Kilvert and Sons.[8]
1962 Closed its radio and television subsidiary Regentone.[9]

Lloyds Industries (Molyslip) Ltd., is the name of a company formed to market the Molyslip range in the UK.[11]
1966 Acquired by Cope Allman and Co.[12]
