Born the son of Herman Jofeh, Manufacturer of Cardboard Boxes, and his wife Lena.

1944 Married at Westminster to Constance Heaton and had son Christopher Jofeh

Employed by Sperry Gyroscope Co for 20 years and became Chairman and MD.

1956 Awarded OBE

1967 Joined BSA

1971 President of the Coventry Cycle and Motor Cycle Association.[1]

1971 Leaves BSA as motor cycle division managing director

1972 Joined Dowty. 'Mr. Lionel Jofeh, former managing director of BSA's motorcycle division, is now working as a special projects director with the £52.5 million, turnover Dowty Group at Cheltenham. His appointment as a director of Dowty Group Services, a subsidiary company. was confirmed last night'[2]
