1889 The company was registered in 14 June, to acquire certain businesses, and others have since been taken over. [1] These included The Burmantofts Company and five other Yorkshire companies.

1902 The gas engineering branch of the company became part of Drakes

1928 Leeds Fireclay Co acquired a large shareholding in Goodlass, Wall and Co; Leeds' chairman had been entrusted with the negotiations about linking Goodlass, Wall and Co's interests with one of the largest company's in the world in their line of business[3].
