Lawaczeck-Heymann Balancing System

From Graces Guide

This was a system to facilitate dynamic balancing of rotating machinery, developed by Franz Lawaczeck of Halle-on-the-Salle and Hans Heymann of Darmstadt. Patented in USA 5 June 1923 (filed 22 December 1917). US patent (pdf) here. More information here.

Balancing machines using this system were made by the Carl Schenck Co. Described in The Engineer in 1922[1]
