Knutsford Light and Water Co

1844 gasworks were erected "on the Manchester Road" by John Ogden

1864 Formation of the Knutsford Light & Water Company Ltd.

The gas undertaking was purchased by the Knutsford UDC.

A gas main was built from Altrincham gasworks to Knutsford.

1949 Vested in the North Western Gas Board.

1950 Production ceased in November.
