1931 Ormerod Brothers became a subsidiary of Kitchen and Wade and was renamed Ormerod Shapers Ltd.
1932 Description of a horizontal duplex machine for boring and facing the bushes and brasses in locomotive side and connecting rods, the two operations being completed with one setting of the rod. The maximum distance between the head centres was 12 ft. 6 in., the maximum distance between the boring centres 11 ft., and the centre height 13 in.[1]
1936 Public company.
1959 Acquired by Asquith Machine Tool Corporation[2]
1961 Machine tool makers specialising in the manufacture of drilling and boring machines. 300 employees.
