Kinloch Distillery

From Graces Guide

Whisky distillers, Campbeltown

1823 The business was established as Lamb, Colvill and Company.

1826 Robert Lamb died and was replaced by Robert Ralston but the firm's name remained unchanged throughout its operation. When Alfred Barnard visited, he noted annual output as being 97,000 gallons.

1919 West Highland Malt Distilleries Limited was incorporated and Kinloch was one of six Campbeltown distilleries acquired in an attempt to rationalise the industry locally.

1923 West Highland Malt Distilleries Limited went into voluntary liquidation. The distillery was bought by Duncan MacCallum and operated until 1926. MacCallum subsequently offered the distillery buildings to the Town Council.
