1888 Mention of a large screw steamer built to the order of Kinghorn Brothers of Liverpool and Glasgow by Edward Withy and Co.[1]
1907 Partnership dissolved. '... the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, John George Kinghorn and Robert Ewing Kinghorn, carrying on business as Engineers and General Agents, at Colonial House, Water-street, in the city of Liverpool, under the style or firm of "KINGHORN BROTHERS," has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 30th day of May, 1907. All debts due and owing to or by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said John George Kinghorn. And in future such business will be carried on by the said John George Kinghorn alone, under the present style or firm of Kinghorn Brothers...'[2]
