1919 The Kilmarnock Engineering Company Limited was registered as a private company, with capital of £40,000, to enter into an agreement with Dick, Kerr and Co, for the sale of certain property and assets, and to carry on the business of general engineers, contractors for works and undertakings, ironfounders, shipbuilders, shipwrights, dredgers, tug owners, wharfingers, and electrical engineers.[1]
