Kettering Iron and Coal Co

1876 Herbert Sartoris and F. W. Preston took over the ironstone pits of Messrs. Wallis & Manners, near Kettering, in 1876.

1878 The furnaces on the Rockingham Road were begun and blown-in in 1878 - see Kettering Ironworks

1951 Kettering Iron and Coal Co was nationalised under the Iron and Steel Act; became part of the Iron and Steel Corporation of Great Britain[1]

1956 Kettering Iron and Coal Co was bought from the Holding and Realisation Agency by Stewarts and Lloyds[2].
