Kenneth Lloyd Oliver (c1911 - 18th November 1961)

'The death occurred on November 18 of Mr. Kenneth Lloyd Oliver, general manager of the David Brown Machine Tool and Tool Divisions, and a director of David Brown Industries Ltd. He was fifty years old. Mr. Oliver served his apprenticeship with Churchill Machine Tool Company Ltd., and subsequently worked for short periods with Linotype and Machinery Ltd., and Pressed Steel Company Ltd., before joining Muir Machine Tools Ltd. (later to become the David Brown Machine Tool Division) as assistant chief draughtsman in 1937. Shortly after the David Brown organisation acquired the company in 1944, Mr. Oliver was appointed factory manager. He subsequently became general manager of both the machine tool and tool divisions in 1956, and a director of David Brown Industries Ltd., in November 1959.'
