Mr. Kenneth Lancaster Osborne died on October 9, 1938, at the age of 50.

Since 1931 Mr. Osborne had been Chief of the Central Materials Inspection Bureau of the London, Midland, and Scottish Railway Company, Derby.

Prior to that he had been in charge of materials inspection for the carriage and wagon department.

Mr. Osborne was elected a member of the Institute of Metals in 1917.
