Kennedy and Jenkin, consulting engineers, of Westminster

1889 Sir Alexander Kennedy established his consultant engineering practice as Kennedy and Jenkin with Bernard Maxwell Jenkin.

1897 Sydney Bryan Donkin joined the business

1897 Kennedy and Bryan Donkin's tests on different types of boilers, initially published in Engineering, appeared as a book, "Experiments on Steam Boilers" (1897).

1908 The sons of the principals, Mr Sydney Bryan Donkin and Mr. John Macfarlane Kennedy, became partners.

1913 The firm became Kennedy and Donkin. The business went onto focus on power generation and electricity distribution projects.
