1878/9 Work commenced as a famine relief project
1881 February 1st. The 86-mile section between Kanpur and Farukhabad opened
1884 April 14th. Extension Farukhabad to Kasganj opened
1884 July 1st. The 24-mile section between Kasgang to Hathras and the Yamuna Bridge opened
