KP Snacks is a British producer of nuts and snacks. The KP stood for Kenyon Produce.

1853 The company was founded as Kenyon and Son as a producer of confectionery, jam and pickles.

1891 The company had become Kenyon, Son and Craven.

1948 Simon Heller took over the company, and it then switched to producing roasted and salted hazelnuts, expanding to peanuts later. These were originally produced for sale in cinemas.

1952 The company introduced Hercules Nuts.

1953 The No.1 KP Nuts peanut brand was introduced.

1964-66 The company doubled its production size.

1968 The company became part of United Biscuits

The KP Snacks subsidiary produces a range of packet snack brands including Hula Hoops, Meanies, Skips, McCoys, Roysters, Frisps, Mini Cheddars, Brannigans and Phileas Fogg. The Snacks part is based in Ashby de la Zouch in Leicestershire, near the United Biscuits distribution warehouse.

2012 United Biscuits sold the company to the German company Intersnack
