1881 Living at St. James Rd., Cummersdale: Joseph Tweedy (age 65 born Tynemouth), Railway Signal Manufacturer (employing) 14 Men and 2 Boys. With his wife Elizabeth, two daughters and a SIL (son in law).[1]
