1885-to at least 1903: Marine and engineering superintendent for Allan Line in London

1887 Joined Inst of Naval Architects

1890 Joined Society of Arts

1896 Joined Inst of Marine Engineers

c.1898 Also superintendent for Wilsons and Furness-Leyland Line
