1853 April 27th. Died. 'At Stagshaw House on the 27th inst., in his 60th year of his age, Joseph Crawhall, Esq. Few men led a more active life than the lamented deceased who was uniformly guided by a strong judgment, and a strict integrity. he was member of the late Corporation, and an Alderman of the present, in which he filled the offices of Sheriff and mayor with the highest satisfaction of the community....[2]
