John White Footwear
of Midland Road, Higham Ferrers, Northants (1989)
1990 UK Shoe Group Ltd sold the business — based in Rushden and Corby — to a new company being set up, to be known as John White Footwear[1]
The company suffered falling orders and a closure was announced in November, 1990, although a plant in Warwickshire was saved following a takeover by a subsidiary of Wollaston company, R. Griggs and Co.[2]
