John Stothert
John Stothert (c1792-1879)
c.1792 Born son of George (senior) and Elizabeth Stothert
From 1819 or earlier, John and his brother William had taken over running of the ironmongery business of their father, George Stothert.
c.1837 William retired
1841 Ironmonger, living in Bathwick, Somerset, with his wife Susanna, and children Elizabeth, Susanna, George 8, Helen 6, Caroline 4, Emily 2, Mary 8 months[1]
1842 John took into partnership Thomas Walker, and the business became known as Stothert and Walker [2]
He was also a partner in Stothert, Slaughter and Co
1879 Died in Bath[3]
