1874 March 27th. Married at Thurgoland, York, to Elizabeth the daughter of Joshua Thompson, a Farmer. JSJ is age 27, a Wire Drawer and the son of George Jagger, a Wire Manufacturer.

1901 Living at 11 Talbot Road, Penistone: John Step Jagger (age 54 born Thurgoland), a Wire Drawer and Employer and Widower. With his five sons and three daughters.[1]

1940 March 17th. Died at Penistone, Sheffield
