1871 Living at Hanover Street, Keighley: John Spencer (age 31 born Keighley), Machine Tool Maker, 30 men. With his wife Alice and children William (age 8), Fred (age 6), Harriet (age 3) and Arthur (age 1).[1]

1901 Living at 7 Leyland Lane, Keighley: John Spencer (age 61 born Keighley), Engineer and Machine Tools. With his wife Alice and grand-daughter Ethel.[2]

1910 September 13th. Died, age 70, of 9 Victoria Park View, Keighley, machine tool maker.[3] Probate to Fred Spencer, Toolmaker.
