1859 Advert: 'JOHN NEEDHAM, MILLWRIGHT, ENGINEER, ETC ., MANUFACTURER OF NEEDHAM'S IMPROVED STEAM ENGINES, METALLIC PISTONS, FRICTION HOISTS suitable for Warehouses and Cotton or Corn Mills, FLANGES for Gas or Steam Piping, by the use of which Vulcanised Rubber Rings are much more durable. Also Mill Gearing, Hoists, Cranes, Lift and Force Pumps, Water and Steam Cocks, Valves, &c., from two inches upwards, Boiler Fittings, Slided Shafting, Screw Cutting, &c., &c.
STEAM ENGINES INDICATED. Vulcanised Rubber Rings and Sheeting, Double-cock Grease Cups, and Glass Water Guages, always on hand.
Repairs and Alterations on the most approved plans.

1865 John Needham of Albert Iron Works, Warrington, advertised his services for hydraulically testing steam boilers.[3]

Note: There was another Albert Iron Works in Warrington. 1877 advert: 'Tools for Sale, cheap.—Lathes, Planing, Drilling & Punching, and Shearing Machines, &c . - R. Pemberton, Albert Iron Works, Golborne-street, Warrington.'[4]
