1820 Moved from Paisley to Glasgow.

1820s At the instigation of John Farey produced the McNaught steam engine Indicator. [1], for which he was awarded the silver medal of the Society of Arts for Scotland (1830)

1838 Manufactured the steam engine indicators at Robertson Street, Glasgow
