Sears and Co., Ltd., Trueform Boot Co.[1] 'Mr. John George Sears, whose death has occulted at Collingtree Grange, Northamptonshire, at 46, rose from a shoe clicker at less than 30a. a week to be a great manufacturer and virtually a millionaire. He founded the firm of J. G. Sears and Co.. better known as the True-Form Boot Co., which grew by leaps and bounds until in 1912, when he possessed about 84) retail shops, 47 in London, he turned the business into a company.'[2]
