JOHN GANDON, born at Peterborough on the 20th March, 1863, died at Smyrna on the 6th February, 1916.

Trained under his father, the late Mr. Charles Gandon, M. Inst. C.E., in gas engineering, he acted as Engineer of gasworks at Saltley and Ascot, before being appointed in 1889 Engineer and Manager to the Ottoman Gas Company at their works at Smyrna, an appointment which he retained for 26 years.

Mr. Gandon was elected an Associate Member on the 6th December, 1892.
