John Edward White was born in 1919.

Following his training at Rolls-Royce, Ltd., he was employed by that firm as an Engine Tester.

In 1939 he enrolled in the R.A.F.V.R., in which he served for two years.

He was killed in action in July, 1941, at the age of 27.

He was elected a Graduate in 1939.
