Established in 1857.

1897 Incorporated as a public company, with share capital of £140,000, to acquire, carry on and extend the existing business, which served a large and fashionable clientele amongst the residential populations of Clifton, Bristol, and district. In its prospectus, the business was described as general and fancy drapers, costumiers, ladies' complete outfitters, upholsterers, cabinet makers and house furnishers.[1]

1911 The company went into voluntary liquidation.[2]
